Student Life and Its Characteristics of University of Nanking in Chengdu

金陵大学是民国时期一所著名的基督教大学。抗战全面爆发后,金陵大学师生从南京西迁至成都华西坝继续办学。面对抗战时期动荡的时局及艰苦的物质生活,金陵大学学生的日常生活、学习生活、课余生活发生了显著变化,展现了“诚真勤仁”的金大精神以及强烈的爱国情怀,一定程度反映了内迁基督教大学学生生活的一般特征。

University of Nanking was a famous Christian university during the Republic of China.After the outbreak of the anti-Japanese war,teachers and students of University of Jinling moved westwards from Nanjing to Huaxi Ba in Chengdu to continue their education.Because of the turbulent situation and hard material life during the anti-Japanese war,the daily life,study life and extracurricular life of students in University of Nanking changed significantly.They showed the spirit of University of Nanking:sincerity,diligence,benevolence and the strong patriotism.To some extent they reflected the general characteristics of student life of the ingoing Christian university.
