图书情报学学科视域下的大数据挖掘研究项目内容分析——以“挖掘数据挑战”项目为例

Content Analysis of Big Data Mining Research Projects in the Perspective of Library and Information Science:Case Study of “Data Mining Challenge” Project

[目的/意义]分析图情专业参与国际合作的数字人文研究的主要内容,以及图书馆在其中所起的作用。[方法/过程]以美国国家人文基金会设立的跨大西洋合作基金--"挖掘数据挑战"资助的8个图情学/图书馆主持的项目为例,进行内容分析。[结果/结论]图情专业在科学计量学、元数据技术、音频档案数据挖掘和数字历史等数字人文研究方面发挥了积极作用,其中,跨国、跨学科和跨语言语料库的元数据标准化处理是国际合作中面临的主要问题,馆员在国际合作中扮演了辅助而非合作者的角色。

[Purpose/significance]The paper aims to analyze the main contents of digital humanities research in Library and Information Science( LIS) participating in international cooperation and the role of libraries in it. [Method/process]The paper takes eight LIS/library-sponsored projects funded by the Trans-Atlantic Cooperation Fund established by the National Endowment for the Humanities as example,and analyzes the contents of them. [Result/conclusion] LIS has played an active role in digital humanities research such as scientometrics,metadata technology,audio archive data mining and digital history. Among them,the metadata standardization of transnational,interdisciplinary and cross-language corpora is the main problem facing international cooperation. Librarians play the role of assistant rather than collaborator in international cooperation.
