Economic burden of adverse reactions following immunization in Zhuhai city, 2016-2018

目的分析珠海市预防接种不良反应的经济负担。方法对珠海市2016-2018年所有预防接种不良反应的医疗、误工、交通等费用进行问卷调查,估算预防接种不良反应的平均和总经济负担。结果珠海市2016-2018年预防接种不良反应(741例)平均、总经济负担分别为394.49元/例、29.23万元;其中一般反应(592例)分别为272.78元/例、16.15万元,异常反应(149例)分别为878.04元/例、13.08万元;第一类疫苗预防接种不良反应(601例)分别为404.07元/例、24.28万元,第二类疫苗预防接种不良反应(140例)分别为353.35元/例、4.95万元。结论2016-2018年预防接种不良反应总经济负担以一般反应和第一类疫苗预防接种不良反应为主。建议适当扩大预防接种不良反应补偿范围。

Objective To determine the economic burden of adverse reactions following immunization in Zhuhai city.Methods We conducted a questionnaire-based survey on medical treatment,missed work,and transportation costs of all adverse reactions following immunization in Zhuhai during 2016-2018 and estimated their average and total economic burdens.Results The average and total economic burdens for all adverse reactions following immunization(741 cases)in Zhuhai during 2016-2018 were 394.49 yuan per case and 29.23 ten-thousand yuan,respectively,with 272.78 yuan per case and 16.15 ten-thousand yuan for common reactions(592 cases),and 878.04 yuan per case and 13.08 ten-thousand yuan for rare reactions(149 cases).By vaccine category,we found an economic burden of 404.07 yuan per case and 24.28 ten-thousand yuan for adverse reactions(601 cases)for CategoryⅠvaccines,and 353.35 yuan per case and 4.95 ten-thousand yuan for adverse reactions(140 cases)for CategoryⅡvaccines.Conclusion The total economic burden of adverse reactions following immunization in 2016-2018 was very large for common reactions and for adverse reactions of CategoryⅠvaccines.We suggest expanding compensation for adverse reactions following immunization.
