摘要 To Kill a Mockingbird is the masterpiece of Harper Lee,who created an important black man named Tom Robinson in it.Although hard-working and kind-hearted,Tom Robinson becomes a victim of racial discrimination with the tragic death.He is the epitome of the era and the tragedy of the individual.Based on the rape trial in To Kill a Mockingbird,this paper analyzes the injustice and inequality for black people in the white-dominated society from the perspective of racism,interpreting the tragic fate of Tom Robinson under the racial discrimination. To Kill a Mockingbird is the masterpiece of Harper Lee, who created an important black man named Tom Robinson in it.
