Conflict and Adaptation:A Study of Discourse Change in Haze Report

近年来,以雾霾为代表的环境议题一直是媒体和民众关注的焦点,《南京日报》和《现代快报》作为本地党委机关报和市场报的代表,在雾霾报道中呈现出不同的话语和侧重。本文对双方2011年至2018年的雾霾报道进行话语分析,发现两者的报道历经了数据公开化与秸秆焚烧的争论、宣传与质疑碰撞、信心重塑与持续监督、报道统合四个阶段,并得出双方报道话语的冲突程度与雾霾污染程度呈现出正相关关系:在2013、2014两年内由于雾霾污染加重,双方报道表现出一定的冲突。自2015年起,随着治理成效不断显现,《南京日报》的报道框架逐渐被《现代快报》沿用,双方报道呈现不断统合的趋势。

In recent years,environmental issues represented by haze reports have been the focus of media and public attention.As the representatives of local government and market newspapers,Nanjing Daily and Modern Express showed the different discourses and emphases in haze reports.This paper conducts discourse analysis on haze reports of both newspapers from 2011 to 2018.It finds that both newspapers experienced four stages including data publicizing and debate about straw burning,the collision between publicity and questioning,confidence restoration and continuous monitoring,report integration.It concludes that there is a positive correlation between the degree of discourse conflict and haze pollution.Due to the aggravation of haze pollution in 2013 and 2014,the reports showed some conflicts.Since 2015,with the continuous improvement of government regulation,the reporting frame of Nanjing Daily was gradually followed by Modern Express,presenting the trend of convergence between the two..
