Participatory Design and Construction of Micro-Garden in Beijing Old City

随着我国城市发展进入存量时代,即以社区为单位的有机更新阶段,街区和社区更新成为城市发展的基本内容。作为最基本的更新单元,社区微更新需要自下而上与自上而下相结合进行可持续探索,强调在全过程中的公众参与。以北京老城区微花园景观微更新为例,探讨基于社区营造的参与式设计营造过程、方法和途径。在建立社区营造多元平台的基础上,首先从观察记录自发微花园开始,逐步采用展览和踏访的方式融入居民并向居民互动展示;然后,在持续的论坛和工作坊过程中,与居民全程进行参与式设计和参与式方案修正;在此基础上,逐步实现并完善参与式共建和后期维护机制。微花园的实践过程实际上是一个微更新过程,针灸式地进行参与式设计营造,原汁原味地在地可持续提升北京老城区特有的绿色景观。

With China’s urban development entering the stock age,urban development has come to the organic renewal stage with blocks and communities as the unit.The renewal of blocks and communities is the basic content of urban development.As the most basic renewal unit,community micro renewal needs to use the combination of bottom-up and top-down for sustainable exploration,emphasizing the breadth and depth of public participation in the whole process.Taking the micro-renewal of Micro Garden in Beijing old city as an example,this paper discusses the process,method and approach of participatory design and construction based on community building.On the basis of building a multi platform community,the process started from observing and recording the Micro Garden of the old city community,gradually integrated the way of exhibition and visit into the residents and show them interactively.Then,in the process of continuous forum and workshop,carry out participatory design and revision of participatory scheme with the residents in the whole process.On this basis,participatory co-construction and mechanism of construction maintenance gradually were realized and improved participatory co-construction and post-construction Period maintenance mechanism.So as to achieve the whole process of participatory design.In fact,the practice process of micro garden practice is a gradual micro renewal process.The acupuncture-based participatory design and construction will enhance the unique green landscape of the old city community in Beijing and make it sustainable in the future.
