The qualitative and quantitative analysis methods of fluorescent whitening agents used in plastics were introduced,including ultraviolet lamp method,ultraviolet spectrophotometry,high performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection method.The advantages and disadvantages and application scope of each method were compared.And the combined use of these methods and the qualitative means of additives and fillers used were also described briefly.
