摘要
提出了一种新的低功耗TFT-LCD设计,该TFT结构具有不同以往的彩色滤光片结构,并带有减薄后的图形化钝化层,使得液晶电场的操作效率增加,并减少电场的耗损。该设计的光学特性使用了数值分析方法来加以仿真,仿真结果指出新显示屏的操作电压比传统显示屏更低,进而整体功耗被降低。实际样品的功耗测量结果也与仿真结果相符。
A novel TFT-LCD with lower power consumption was proposed. Lower operation voltage can be realized by using a new color filter structure and new TFT architecture with pattern passivation, therefore, power consumption could be reduced. Numerical analysis of its optical properties was carried out, and the simulation results show that the proposed display has lower operation voltage than the conventional one. The actual measurement results of prototype agreed with the simulations very well.
