摘要
霍夫斯泰德是跨文化交际领域的理论创立人和先行者。早在20世纪60年代,他就在热络的人才跨国流动中看到了技术与文化之间错综复杂的关系。在其长期担任国际管理方向讲师及研究者后所发表的著作《文化的效应》中,霍夫斯泰德以IBM公司的问卷调查为基础,在美国社会学家英格尔斯(Alex Inkeles)和莱文森(Daniel Levinson)1954年发表的研究成果基础上,对不同国家的文化类型提出了一个四维度辨识模型,从而奠定了相关文化价值理论的牢固根基。
Hofstede is the theoretical founder and forerunner in the field of cross-cultural communication.As early as the 1960s,he saw the complicated relationship between technology and culture in the transnational flow of hot talent.In his book the effects of culture,published after a long period of time as a lecturer and researcher in international management.Based on a questionnaire survey conducted by IBM,and on the basis of the research results published by American sociologists Ingles(Alex Inkeles)and Levinson(Daniel Levinson)in 1954,he puts forward some suggestions on the types of culture in different countries.A four-dimensional identification model appears which lays a solid foundation for the relevant cultural value theory.
