Expression and clinical significance of CEACAM6 in thyroid cancer

目的:观察CEACAM6在甲状腺癌中的表达及临床意义。方法:2010年1月至2014年1月收集98例甲状腺癌患者的癌组织和癌旁组织标本,采用免疫组化SP法测定CEACAM6表达情况,分析其与临床病理特征及预后之间的关系,并以多因素Cox回归分析预测不良事件的指标。结果:甲状腺癌石蜡标本中CEACAM6阳性表达率明显高于癌旁组织CEACAM6阳性表达率(84.7%vs 26.5%,P<0.05)。CEACAM6蛋白表达增高与肺癌的病理分级、淋巴结转移、临床分期密切相关(P<0.05),而与患者性别、年龄、肿瘤大小无关(P>0.05)。CEACAM6蛋白高表达的患者与低表达的患者总生存率比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。其中淋巴结转移、组织学分级、临床分期和CEACAM6均是肺癌患者预后的独立影响指标。结论:CEACAM6与甲状腺癌的浸润、转移密切相关,是判断预后的重要指标。

Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of CEACAM6 in thyroid cancer.Methods:The specimens of cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues of 98 patients with thyroid cancer were collected from January 2010 to January 2014.The CEACAM6 expression was determined by immunohistochemical SP method.And its relationship with clinicopathological features and prognosis was analyzed.Multivariate Cox regression analysis was used to predict indicators of adverse events.Results:The positive expression rate of CEACAM6 in thyroid cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(84.7%vs 26.5%).The increased expression of CEACAM6 protein was closely related to the pathological grade,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage of lung cancer,but not related to gender,age and tumor size.The difference in the overall survival rate between patients with high expression of CEACAM6 protein and those with low expression was statistically significant(P<0.05).Lymph node metastasis,histological grade,clinical stage and CEACAM6 were independent indicators of prognosis in patients with lung cancer.Conclusion:CEACAM6 is closely related to the invasion and metastasis of thyroid cancer,which is an important indicator of prognosis.
