Surfactant is an important fine chemical that needs to be characterized and analyzed to determine its type,content and structure.Therefore,it is of great significance to establish a rapid,efficient and accurate method for the analysis of surfactants.This review focuses on the modern instrumental analysis methods for the analysis of surfactants in recent years,including chromatography,spectroscopy,mass spectrometry,capillary electrophoresis,electrochemical methods and chromatography-mass spectroscopy.Finally,the developing direction of surfactant analysis and detection is prospected.
