Research on the Construction and Development of Shanghai’s Chronicle Museums

近几年,上海市方志馆,包括市级方志馆、区级方志馆、村镇街道史馆(室),建设和发展步伐不断加快,但是,仍然存在思想认识不到位、硬件设施不齐全、馆藏资源不丰富、人才机制不健全、公共服务不充分等问题。为推动全市方志馆建设事业持续快速发展,应抓住党中央国务院高度重视、国家政策法规有力支撑、市委市政府全面支持、人民文化需求日益增长等发展机遇,努力增强方志馆建设与发展必要性和重要性的新认识,树立“五馆合一”的方志馆建设新理念,让上海通志馆新馆、各区方志馆成为上海文化新地标,构建有各级方志馆参与的上海市公共文化服务新格局。

In recent years,the construction and development of chronicle museums in Shanghai,including those at municipal,district,village and sub-district levels,having been picking up pace. However,they also suffer many problems,such as inadequate ideological understanding,incomplete hardware facilities,sparse collection resources,imperfect talent mechanism,and insufficient public services. In order to promote the sustained and rapid development of the construction of local chronicle museums,Shanghai should seize an array of development opportunities,namely the great significance attached to it by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council,the strong support of national policies and regulations,the all-around support of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Shanghai,and the growing cultural needs of the people,better understand the necessity and importance of the construction and development of chronicle museums. Moreover,it also needs to adopt the new concept of " five museums in one," so that the new museum of History Compilation Bureau of Greater Shanghai and the local chronicles museums of all districts will become the new cultural landmarks of Shanghai,and create a new pattern of public cultural services in Shanghai with the participation of chronicle museums at all levels.
