明清时期清江浦的开凿及清江浦城的兴起

Excavation of Qingjiangpu in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Rise of Qingjiangpu City

清江浦1415年清江浦由明初漕运总兵官陈瑄主持开凿。明清时期清江浦是京杭大运河沿线著名的交通枢纽、重要的漕粮储地、繁荣的商业城市,遂有北马南船、九省通衢、天下粮仓等美誉,开凿至今已有600多年的历史。清江浦段运河的开凿对清江浦城镇的兴起、繁荣具有决定性的作用,更是对整个淮安的城市发展产生了重大影响。

In 1415,Qingjiangpu River was presided over by Chen Wei,general officer of the Ming Dynasty,with the history more than 600 years,while Qingjiangpu City was a well-known transportation hub along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal,an important grain storage area and a prosperous commercial city in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The canal digging alongQingjiangpu section has a decisive effect on the rise and prosperity of Qingjiangpu City,and has had a great impact on the whole urban development of Huai an.
