With the continuous development of social economy and science and technology, the informatization has changed the production and life of the general public. Today, 4 G mobile communication technology has been developed relatively well and has been widely promoted. Against this background, researchers have continuously increased their research efforts on 5 G mobile communication technology. This paper first elaborated the concept and characteristics of 5 G mobile communication technology, and analyzed the development status of the technology and its key technologies, and finally discussed the development trend of 5 G mobile communication technology, which aims to provide some ideas for the further development of 5 G mobile communication technology.
