明代山西军事体系述略

A Brief Account of Shanxi Military System in Ming Dynasty

为抵御北方蒙古侵扰,明政府相继在北部边疆设立九边重镇,受其影响,明代山西地区的军事机构除山西都司与山西行都司外,还存在山西镇与大同镇的双重军事体系,导致明代山西地区的卫所分布、军事管理与后勤供给均发生变革。上述军事机构与内外三关等诸隘口共同构成明代山西地区紧密的军事防御体系,并起到稳固山西、守护京畿的防御效果。

In order to resist the invasion of Mongolia in the north,the Ming government successively set up nine border towns in the northern border areas,which had influenced the military institutions of Shanxi region in Ming Dynasty.In addition to Shanxi capital division and Shanxi capital department,there was also a dual military system including Shanxi town and Datong town,which has resulted in reform in the distribution of guards,military management and logistical supply in Shanxi Province in Ming Dynasty.The above-mentioned military institutions and various barriers,such as the internal and external barriers,constitute a close military defense system in the Ming Dynasty,and play a solid role in defending Shanxi,the capital city and its environs.
