The in-service inspection of the first domestic 3000 m^3 propylene spherical tanks made of 07MnNiMoDR steel was introduced.The causes of various types of surface defects and buried defects were analyzed.The preventive measures and treatment methods for various kinds of over-standard defects that may occur during manufacturing,installation and use were put forward,and the inspection experience of similar equipment was summarized and analyzed.
