《水葬》是典范的私刑式"无讼"叙事文本。超越启蒙意识形态的法社会学考察能够揭示"水葬"私刑多元的形成根源:既有思想文化层面上的国民性格作用的因素,也是一种客观社会格局下的必然产物。贵州是蹇先艾乡土小说系列中的重要自然、地理、文化符号,具有独特的言说价值。
I think that Water Burial is the typical one of the Non-lawsuit texts narrating the lynch law. As one type of lynch law,water burial actually derived from complex factors,and among them,that the government had no enough power to control and regulate the vast country community was the crucial one. So it is unilateral that the author of this novel only emphasized the fact that the traditional culture was controlling consciousness and behavior of Chinese even in the20 thcentury,. Gui Zhou is the more important image in novels of Jian Xianai,because it can say more to us about the tragic roots of water burial as a folk-custom.
