Under the background of multicultural development, the film, as an important carrier of cultural communication, directly affects the radiation range of cultural communication, and the film subtitle translation often determines the output effect of the film.Cultural default has become a major influence factor in the subtitle translation of current films, which causes the audience not to understand the core idea and the content of the works well and even restricts the development of the internationalization of the movie industry to a certain extent. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the apprence of the cultural default problem, explore the influential factors behind it, and then put forward some targeted strategies to achieve better concrete expression of film and television works.
