An Exploration into the Ideas and Practices of Internationalization at Home In Higher Education

高等教育国际化在促进高等教育发展中所起的作用日益凸显,因而其在世界范围内的实践也日益丰富。在地国际化(Internationalization at Home, IaH)的理念21世纪初在西欧产生,并逐渐影响到其他国家。介绍了IaH理念产生的背景,定义,影响因素和实现形式特别是课程国际化的形式。在探析IaH在世界各地的实践基础上,指出IaH是一个仍然在不断发展的理念,需要不断摸索和实践来丰富其内涵。

Recent years have witnessed the increasingly important role the internationalization of higher education plays in driving the development of higher education in the world and its practices have been diverse as a result.The idea of Internationalization at Home(IaH)originated in western Europe at the beginning of 21st century and has become widely accepted.The background,definition,factors affecting its implementation and various ways to practice it were introduced.After exploring the practices in various institutions of higher learning around the world,it pointed out that IaH is ever evolving and we need to keep practising to substantially improve it.
