王逢贤先生是我国当代杰出的教育学家和道德教育研究的巨擘。他毕生献身教育科学,为当代中国教育理论建设和德育理论发展做出了突出贡献。他的丰富深邃的教育思想,尤其是道德教育思想,是他留给我们的宝贵精神财富。作为全国教育学研究会的发起人和领导者之一,他不仅身体力行地进行教育学研究,而且大力支持并参与组织全国教育学研究会的学术会议。他在德育学科建设上也贡献卓著,在全国率先开设德育原理课程,并为编写师范教材《德育原理》做了大量准备工作。他关于中国教育学科学化的探索具有深远意义,在教育学术史上有一席之地。

Mr. Wang Fengxian is an outstanding contemporary educator and a giant of moral education research in China. He devoted his life to education science and made outstanding contributions to the construction of contemporary Chinese education theory and the development of moral education theory. His rich and profound educational thoughts, especially moral education thoughts, are the precious spiritual wealth he left to us. As one of the founders and leaders of the National Educational Research Association, he not only conducts pedagogical research by himself, but also strongly supports and participates in the organization of academic conferences of the association. He has also made outstanding contributions to the construction of moral education discipline. He took the lead in offering courses on principles of moral education in the country, and made a lot of preparations for the compilation of a normal textbook, Principles of Moral Education. His exploration of the scientificization of Chinese pedagogy has far-reaching significance and has a place in the academic history of education.
