Objective To explore effect of tracking self-management model of pneumoconiosis patients on self-care ability and quality of life. Methods Seventy-two patients with pneumoconiosis were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 36 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment intervention, and the observation group implemented the tracking linkage selfmanagement model based of the control group. The self-care ability, lung function, quality of life and rehospitalization rate of patients were evaluated in the two groups. Results After 6 months Intervention since discharge, and self care ability each dimension score in the observation group were higher than that of control group, among them, highest score was the health cognition(47.14+5.54).Pulmonary function indicators in the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the observation group were higher than those of the control group. The re-hospitalization rate of the patients in the observation group within 6 months was 8.33%,lower than that of the control group(30.56%).Comparisons of the above parameters between the two groups showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusions Tracking linkage self management model can enhance the ability of selfcare of pneumoconiosis patients, effectively improve the pulmonary function and quality of life, and reduce the hospital readmission rates.
