Technological and Commercial Transformation of Telecom Operators in the Digital Economy

数字经济正在催生新的市场扩张机会,电信运营商在新的浪潮下也面临巨大的变革挑战。文章从技术变革和商业变革两方面入手,详细论述了数字经济背景下电信运营商需要应对的新挑战。技术层面,运营商需要应对网络云化、5G、人工智能、网络安全带来的能力新要求;商业层面,运营商要准备好突破规模经济的增长范式,加快向范围经济转型,还要创新营销模式、盈利模式、体制机制。

The digital economy is spawning new market expansion opportunities,and telecom operators are facing huge challenges in the new wave of change.This paper discusses the new challenges that telecom operators need to deal with under the background of digital economy from two aspects of technological change and commercial transformation.In terms of technology,telecom operators need to cope with the new capabilities required by network cloudification,5G,artificial intelligence and network security.In terms of commercial transformation,operators must be prepared to break through the growth model of economies of scale,accelerate the transition to economies of scale,and innovate marketing models,profit models,and institutional mechanisms.
