With the development of information technology,the shape of the world economy is constantly changing and restructuring.After the introduction of Don Tapscott,the digital economy swept the globe.This article introduces the concept origin and development trend of the digital economy,and focuses on the three aspects of data acquisition,data storage and analysis,and data application.It analyzes the value creation opportunities and challenges of telecom operators,and puts forward suggestions to enable the development of the digital economy in 5G era.
