Hanif Kureishi is a writer enjoying great reputation in contemporary British literature.His work,The Black Album,presents a changing London and its versatile landscape to readers.By observing the house and the bar,the two specific space images in the novel,and using Foucault’s theory on space,power and body,this paper studies the writing and re-writing on identity,as well as the limitation and resistance on body under the post-colonial and post-imperial era.
