萨姆森街酒店由一个帘式情爱汽车旅馆翻修而成,长期以来,这是曼谷“未言明”风格之一。这座建筑的建筑结构容纳并保护了其秘密使用者——密会的情侣。其空间序列不同于其他秘密情侣通常进入的有色窗户的汽车,它有一个内部庭院,通过街道立面的隧道进入。从酒店翻新的组成部分可以明确地感受到——现有的建筑只是简单地用纯灰色的抛光水泥灰泥重新完成,而新的介入部分则为淡绿色的“棚架”的形式。

The Samsen STREET Hotel is the renovation of a curtain sex motel,one of the Bangkok’s longstanding“unspoken”typologies.This architecture of this building accommodates and protects its clandestine users-couples engaged in secret affairs.Its spatial sequence is like none other–The secret couple usually enters in a car with tinted windows,it has an inner courtyard accessed by a tunnel through the street elevation.The components of the hotel’s renovation can be clearly perceived-The existing building is simply refinished in plain grey polished cement plaster while the new interventions come in the form of a pastel green“scaffolding”.There are 3 scaffolding elements:the“soi”(alley),the rabeang(sidewalk terrace),and the“nahng glang plang”(outdoor movie theater).
