论《酒国》葛译本中的修辞翻译

On Translation of Rhetoric in The Republic of Wine of Mr Goldblatt’s Translation Version

葛浩文先生对于莫言小说在英语世界的译介做出了突出贡献,其文学翻译作品体现了译者对莫言小说精髓的把握和译者独特的审美取向。以莫言小说《酒国》的葛译本为研究对象,通过对比小说原文及葛译本中修辞格的表达,探讨了葛浩文先生在传达原文意图和效果上所使用的翻译策略、方法及技巧。研究发现,体现原文风格的修辞完全可以经由译者的创造性发挥进入另外一种语言并尽量保持原作的艺术感染力。

Mr. Goldblatt has made outstanding contributions to the translation and introduction to Mo Yan’s novels in the English world. His literary translation works represent the essence of Mo Yan’s novels and the translator’s unique aesthetic orientation. Taking Goldblatt’s translation of Mo Yan’ s novel The Republic of Wine as the research object,this paper compares the rhetoric expressions in the original novel and the translation,and probes into the translation strategies,methods and techniques used by Mr. Goldblatt in conveying the intention and effect of the original text. The study finds that rhetoric embodying the style of the original text can enter another language through the translator’s exertion of creativity and keep the artistic appeal as far as possible.
