Concept of Antithetical Parallelism and Respect for the Style of the Parallel Prose

清代及民国文论家从偶对观念出发推尊骈体,主要有三个层面内容:一是从词语层面论证对仗的自然性;二是从语句层面论证奇偶相迭的合理性;三是从文体层面论证骈文与散文并存的必然性。在骈文地位不尊尤其清初骈文存在尚受质疑的背景下,从偶对观念出发论证骈文存在的合理性,为骈文争取了生存空间,是骈文尊体的首要内容。

Literary critics in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China improved the status of the Parallel Prose from the concept of antithetical parallelism,which was mainly reflected in the three aspects.One is to demonstrate the nature of antithesis from the words level.The second is to demonstrate the rationality of the mixed use of the parallel prose andthe common prose from the statement level.The third is to demonstrate the necessity of coexistence of the Parallel Prose and the Free Prose stylistically.In this context that the status of the Parallel Prose is not respected,especially its existence was questioned in the early Qing Dynasty,it is the first thing for Respect for the Style of the Parallel Prose to demonstrate the rationality of the existence of the Parallel Prose from the concept of antithetical parallelism in order to fight for living space for it.
