淄博师范高等专科学校的建校时间,通行的说法是始于1951年建校的“山东省立周村师范学校”,迄今不到70年。考虑到周村师范学校建校之初,师生来源主要是“张店中学”“博山中学”调来的教师和“师范班”,我们完全有理由将淄博师范高等专科学校的建校时间从周村师范学校往前追溯到“张店中学”“博山中学”办“师范班”的开始时间。根据“张店中学”有关记载,淄博师范高等专科学校的建校时间至少可以追溯到1941年创办的“清河师范学校”。按“博山中学”这条线索,淄博师范高等专科学校的建校时间至少可以追溯到1928年或1924年。按蒋洗凡先生在成立“博山师范讲习所”过程中所发挥的作用,淄博师范高等专科学校的建校时间还可追溯到“博山师范讲习所”建立的时间1912年。
