基于Malmquist指数的上海市商业银行全要素生产率研究

Research on Total Factor Productivity of Shanghai Commercial Banks Based on Malmquist Index

商业银行是我国金融体系的核心组成部分,在上海市加快推进国际金融中心建设的过程中,对上海市商业银行的研究就显得十分重要。文章利用Malmquist指数模型,基于上海市10家商业银行的数据,对上海市商业银行的全要素生产率进行了研究。结果表明,在研究所选取期间,上海市商业银行的全要素生产率整体上是先下降后上升,究其原因是由技术进步引起;具体到各银行而言,除个别银行外,绝大部分银行的全要素生产率在此期间基本都是上升的,究其原因主要是规模效应所致。

Commercial banks are the core component of China's financial system.In the process of accelerating the construction of international financial center in Shanghai,the study of commercial banks in Shanghai seems to be very important.Based on the data of 10 commercial banks in Shanghai from 2011 to 2015,this paper studies the TFP(total factor productivity)of commercial banks in Shanghai by using Malmquist index model.This paper concludes that in the period of 2011-2015,the TFP of Shanghai commercial banks declines first and then rises,which is caused by technological progress.Specifically speaking,most banks'TFP rises during this period,except for individual banks,the reason is mainly caused by the scale effect.
