从语言动态顺应看加里·斯奈德寒山诗英译

On the Translation of Hanshan Poems by Gary Snyder from the Perspective of Dynamic Linguistic Adaptation

斯奈德翻译的寒山诗在西方世界掀起了“寒山热”,也引发了中国学界的激烈讨论。但目前国内的研究多从译介学角度出发,研究翻译传播途径的居多,鲜有从顺应论视角的分析。本文从语言动态顺应视角分析了斯奈德英译的寒山诗。研究发现,斯奈德译文的成功与他在翻译过程中对语言构建成分、语境和意识程度的顺应密切相关。语言动态顺应为译者如何呈现正统的中华文化给出了启示。

Snyder s translation of Hanshan poems has sparkled a“Hanshan fever”in the western world,which aroused a heated discussion within China s academic circle.However,most domestic researches at present focus on the approach of media-translatology,few proceeding from adaptation theory.This paper explores Snyder s translation of Hanshan poems from the perspective of dynamic linguistic adaptation and unveils that Snyder s success in the process of translation is attributed to his adaptation to the components of language structure,context and salience.Linguistic adaptation also sheds light on translators presenting of traditional Chinese culture.
