摘要
教育部颁布的《大学英语教学指南》(2017)已将专门用途英语(ESP)列为大学英语教学的三大类课程之一,而高素质的ESP教师队伍是高校专门用途英语教学的重要保障,也是大学英语教学改革的关键。本文通过对部分高校ESP教学现状的分析,进一步探讨了通用英语(EGP)教师向专门用途英语(ESP)教师转型的必要性及发展策略。
The College English Teaching Guide(2017)issued by the Ministry of Education has listed English for Specific Purposes(ESP)as one of the three major courses of college English teaching.And high-quality ESP teachers are the important guarantee for college English teaching,as well as the key to the reform of college English teaching.This paper analyzes the current situation of ESP teaching in some colleges,and further discusses the necessity and development strategies of the transformation from EGP teachers to ESP teachers.
