The long-term ultra-stable society in ancient China must have been inextricably linked to effective and wise communication concepts. Communication concept of Neo-Confucianism running through the middle and late period of ancient China was significantly representative in examining the view of communication in entire ancient Chinese society. It condensed genes of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism and shouldered mission of rebuilding feudal ethics. Being the most important principle of spiritual interaction in the middle and late period of Chinese feudal society, it can be classified into communication values at theoretical level and communication concepts and modes at practical level."Benevolence"and"reason"were its most fundamental moral and law value principles. Derived from these principles, it developed the non-verbal communication method of pursuing"perception"and aesthetic standards of communication: harmony, restraining and plainness. It formed internally communication concept characterized by self-propagation, and externally three concepts of high context, text-based pragmatism and layered communication. Communication concept of Neo-Confucianism played a significant role in continuation of ultra-stable society in ancient China by weaving network of scholar-officials and constructing ideology in feudal society.
