Objective To evaluate the psychological flexibility of teenager aviation school students and analyze the correlations between the grade, educational background of parents, use of smartphones, outdoor activities, difficulty falling asleep and psychological flexibility. Methods Information on the age, grade, educational background of parents, length of time smartphones were used, outdoor activities, and time for falling asleep was collected.A multidimensional psychological flexibility scale was used for first-year and third-year senior high school students from 15 teenager aviation schools, and 1286 valid questionnaires were obtained. Results The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the total score of psychological flexibility, grades, the time spent using smartphones, and in the speed of falling asleep between these students. The grade was positively correlated with psychological flexibility(P<0.01)while the use of smartphones and difficulty falling asleep were negatively correlated(P<0.01).The educational background of parents and outdoor activities had no correlations with psychological flexibility. Conclusion Psychological flexibility can be improved via education at teenager aviation schools.By restricting the use of smartphones and relieving negative emotions,we could further improve students’psychological flexibility.
