Analysis on Wang Pengyun’s Attitude Towards Literary Creation in the Late Qing Dynasty

王鹏运为晚清词坛领袖,其对待自身词创作的态度非常严谨。他勤于锻炼词艺,对其词作不断精心地进行修改完善;他毫不吝惜地删汰自己不甚满意的词作,去取态度近于严苛;他经常虚心向词友请教并善于听取别人对其词作的意见和建议。因此其词创作取得了巨大成就,王鹏运也终成一代词坛大家。

Wang Pengyun was the leader of Ci poetry in the late Qing Dynasty,and he was very strict about his Ci poetry creation.He was diligent in practicing his ci skills,and kept revising and perfecting his Ci elaborately.He was unsparing in cutting out the words he was not satisfied with,and his attitude towards making selections of words was almost harsh.He often humbly sought advice from his Ci friends and was good at listening to others’opinions and suggestions on his Ci works.Therefore,great achievements had been made in his Ci creation,and Wang Pengyun had finally become a master of Ci.
