《丽辞》篇的宗旨到底是论述骈文还是论述对偶修辞手法,学界历来争论不休。实质上,《丽辞》篇的叙述方法与文体论的叙述方法高度相似,是刘勰有意识地运用《丽辞》篇讨论骈文文体的表现问题。《丽辞》篇并非单论对偶,而是全面探讨了骈文的对偶、用典、辞藻与声律等特征,集中体现了刘勰的骈文观。刘勰以《丽辞》篇论述骈文的原因,与六朝时期文学的创作特色与骈文文体发展的阶段性特征等密切相关。

Whether the purpose of Li Ci is to discuss parallel prose or discuss dual rhetoric has always been debated in academic circles.In essence,the narrative method of Li Ci is highly similar to that of stylistics,which is the manifestation of Liu Xie's conscious use of Li Ci to discuss the style of parallel prose.Li Ci is not only about antithesis,but also comprehensively discusses the antithesis,allusions,diction,rhythm of parallel prose,etc.which embodies Liu Xie s view of parallel prose.The reason why Liu Xie discussed parallel prose in Li Ci is closely related to the characteristics of literary creation in the Six Dynasties and the phased development-of parallel prose style.
