Investigation report of oral health institutions and health workforce in Guangdong Province

目的了解广东省口腔卫生机构以及口腔人力资源的分布现状,为合理规划口腔卫生资源提供依据。方法采用行政干预全面调查的方法向广东省各地市卫计局(委)索取数据资料,结合政府网络数据,对广东省各地口腔卫生机构及人力资源分布进行调查分析。结果广东省的口腔卫生机构总共5258所,公立口腔卫生机构1685所(32%),非公立机构3573所(68%)。口腔卫生机构从业人员22314人,医师12486人(56%),护士8423人(37.7%),技工1405人(6.3%)。其中珠三角地区17270人,集中了全省77.4%的口腔卫生人力资源。口腔医师人口比为1∶9013,低于世界卫生组织1∶5000的理想口腔医生人口比。医护人数比为1∶0.67。结论非公立口腔卫生机构是我省口腔卫生服务的重要力量;广东省的口腔卫生人力资源未达到世界卫生组织的理想标准;地区间口腔卫生人力资源分布不均。

Objective To understand the current status of resources for oral health in Guangdong Province,and to provide a valuable reference for rational planning of oral health resources.Methods Comprehensive investigation of administrative intervention was conducted,and the data were obtained from the municipal health bureaus of Guangdong Province.Combined with the government network data,the oral health institutions and oral health workforce distribution in Guangdong Province were investigated and analyzed.Results A total of 5258 oral health facilities in Guangdong Province were recorded,among which there were 1685 public facilities(32%)and 3573 non-public facilities(68%).There are 22314 employees in the oral health facilities,in which there were 12486 dentists(56%),8423 nurses and 1405 technicians.Among them,17270 people worked in the Pearl River Delta region.The ratio of dentists to population was 1∶9013,lower than the ideal ration 1∶5000 given by the World Health Organization.The ratio of dentists to nurses was 1∶0.67.Conclusion Private oral health facilities would be an important force in oral health services in the future.The oral health workforce is obviously inequality in Guangdong Province and still unmet the standards of World Health Organization.
