English is a language tool course,which focuses on cultivating students'Chinese communicative ability.Based on the practice of English teaching,this paper discusses the strategies to improve the effectiveness of English reading teaching,points out that English reading teaching should be combined with stimulating reading interest,with the guidance of curriculum standards,so as to enhance students'interest in interactive teaching,let students master English learning skills,improve English reading ability,and lay a good foundation for future learning.
