摘要
石黑一雄的《上海孤儿》中隐含着强烈的空间意识和身份意识,从空间维度立足移民族群独特的生存境遇,尝试从物理空间、心理空间和社会空间三个方面分析《上海孤儿》中主人公班克斯在两个异质文化空间中对自我身份的追寻,指出其最终在"第三空间"中完成了身份的重构,以此探讨空间与新一代移民身份主体性建构的关系,以及新一代移民如何在空间的表征下建构动态的文化身份。
Ishiguro Kazuo′s When We Were Orphans implies a strong sense of space and identity. This paper is based on the unique dimension of the living environment of the ethnic group, and analyzes the protagonist′s identity pursuit in two heterogeneous cultural spaces in When We Were Orphans from physical space, psychological space and social space. This paper argues that the protagonist finally completed the identity reconstruction in the "Third Space". Consequently, this paper attempts to explore the relationship between space and the construction of identity subjectivity of the new immigrants, and how the new immigrants construct dynamic cultural identity under the superficial characteristics of space.
