Mao Zedong s Historical Contribution for the Founding of New China through Political Consultation

中国共产党基于自身的革命性、先进性和代表性、整合性,能够整合中国社会各阶层、各党派、各人民团体的力量,担负起中国现代国家建设的使命,经过多方参与、深入协商而建立了中华人民共和国。毛泽东为协商建立新中国作出了重要贡献,主要表现在:先后发表《新民主主义论》《论联合政府》《论人民民主专政》等系列文献,从理论上阐述“民主共和国”和“民主联合政府”思想;修改“五一口号”,郑重提出召开政治协商会议、成立民主联合政府的政治主张,绘制新中国政权蓝图;推动政治北上,从思想上消除党外人士疑虑;成立筹委会、修改《共同纲领(草案)》等重要文件;主持召开中国人民政治协商会议,建立中国新型政党制度,完成协商建立新中国的历史使命。

Owing to its revolutionary character,advanced nature,and being the representative of the greatest majority of the Chinese people,the CPC united all social strata,political parties,and people s organizations of the society in China,shouldered the mission of constructing a modern state for Chinese people,and ultimately founded the People s Republic of China through intensive consultation involving multiple parties.Mao Zedong played an important role in the founding of People s Republic of China through consultation.He elaborated the thought of“Democratic Republic State”and“Democratic Coalition government”in a series of literature published successively,in which the most famous are“On New Democracy,”“On Coalition Government,”and“On the People s Democratic Dictatorship”;he modified“May Day Slogan,”put forward the proposition of holding the Political Consultative Conference and founding the Democratic Coalition Government,drew a blueprint of the political system of New China;he invited the democratic personages in the South to attend the first plenary session of the Chinese People s Political Consultative Conference in Beijing,then won their trust and support at last;he founded the Preparatory Committee for this conference and carefully revised related documents including the Common Programme of the Chinese People s Political Consultative Conference(Draft);he also chaired the Chinese People s Political Consultative Conference,established China s new political party system,by his leadership,the CPC fulfilled its historical mission of founding the New China through consultation.
