摘要
本文通过对大英博物馆等国际文博机构的展品解说词所涉及的中华传统文化概念公示语翻译的分析,初步归纳总结出中华传统文化概念传播的特点与译写策略。
This paper presents a case study on strategies of creative re-writing and translation of traditional Chinese concepts in public signs displayed in the world famous museums in the USA and UK. Furthermore, it provides an important source for translators to generalize conventional and prescriptive rules and translation strategies for English translations of Chinese culture-specific concepts in museum introductions.
