Marxist historical materialism is the theoretical foundation and ideological weapon for the Communist Party of China to explore the laws of socialist revolution and construction.On the other hand,General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the study,application and practice of Marxist historical materialism.In Xi Jinping’s exposition on revolutionary culture,he expounded the formation process of revolutionary culture from the perspective that revolutionary practice determines revolutionary consciousness,illustrated the connotation and spiritual characteristics of revolutionary culture in terms of the advanced nature of revolutionary ideology,called for the reappearance of revolutionary culture based on contemporary reality and deepened the value of revolutionary culture in the new era from the perspective of mass history.Generally speaking,Xi Jinping’s important exposition on revolutionary culture is very characteristic of Marxist historical materialism.In the meanwhile,it is conscious application as well as theoretical and practical innovation of Marxist historical materialism.
