A Study on the Art of Dialogue in Jia Zhangke’s Films

贾樟柯电影高超的对话艺术与人物对话关系的巧妙设定,是其电影成功的重要因素。他有时利用方言与普通话之间的权力关系,表达人物之间的疏离与冷漠;有时通过人物的肢体语言表达人物丰富的内心活动;有时通过静默与失语,使人物之间的对话出现障碍,达到"此时无声胜有声"的艺术效果。

The extraordinary art of dialogue in Jia Zhangke’s films and the clever setting of the characters’ relationship through dialogue are important factors for the success to his films. Sometimes he uses the power relations between the dialects and mandarin to show the alienation and indifference among people;sometimes he uses the characters’ body language to express their complicated mental activities;and sometimes he creates barriers through silence and aphasia during the dialogue of characters to achieve the effectthat "silence speaks louder than the noise now".
