The character■in Cheng Ren(《成人》) on the Ninth Volume of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips is the variant form of■ in Yinqilei,The,Book of Songs(《诗经·殷其雷》)on boo Slips of the Warring States Collected by Anhui University.五■ in the text could be explained as Wu Yin(五禋),i.e.,the Wu Si(五祀) usually seen in documents, corresponding to gods of the Wu Xing(五行) such as Zhu Rong and Hou Tu.In the text,Cheng Ren uses jiagu wuyin(嘉谷五禋)as a metaphor to exhort the king that a benevolent ruler should follow Wu Shi(五时).
