偏旁省略异体字研究

A Study on Variant Characters Coined via Ellipsis of Character Components

异体字中有不少是由于偏旁省略而生成的,本文将以此类异体字为对象进行研究。主要内容为偏旁省略的原因,此类异体字的类型及其特征和影响。此类异体字的偏旁省略多数是因字形的简化,其余以原因不明的居多。偏旁省略异体字存在省略形符、省略声符、重复省略三种类型。偏旁省略异体字的特征是:此类异体字中不仅有回归到古籀文,原本是合体字的变化为独体字,还有字义和字音变得不明确的。此外,这些方式逐渐一般化,成为创造现代简化字的一个中心轴。

As there are many variant characters coined via ellipsis of character components,this paper aims at researching this kind of variant characters,focusing on various reasons of ellipsis of character components,types of such characters,their characteristics and infl uences.Mostly the reason for ellipsis of character components of this kind of variant characters is the simplifi cation of character fonts,while the left reasons are mostly unknown.The types of font could be divided into three categories,shapesymbol omitted,phonetic element omitted,and identical part omitted.The characteristics are as follows,such variant characters not only include the single characters that could be regressed to the composite characters that contain ancient zhou script,and also include some variant characters whose meaning and pronunciation are both ambiguous.In addition,these methods have been generalized and become the central shaft of making simplifi ed characters.
