曹祖彬图书馆生涯补证

A Newly-found Inquiry on Cao Zubin’s Library Career

曹祖彬是活跃在民国期间的一位重要的图书馆学家,在目录学、图书馆学教育、图书馆管理等领域都作出了一定贡献。笔者有缘联系上曹祖彬小儿子曹念燊先生,通过家人口述、查阅人事档案,获知其完整的生平履历,由此解开曹祖彬借调四川省立图书馆、兼职成都中央军校、1947年赴台以及新中国成立后去向之谜。通过研究可以发现,民国图书馆学家及其后裔的口述资料、人事档案在民国图书馆史研究中发挥重要作用,国内图书馆学界应加大寻找图书馆学家后人的力度,而档案界也建议适度开放、科学管理,以期嘉惠学林。

Cao Zubin was an important library scientist active in the republic of China,who made some contributions to bibliography,library science education,library management and other fields.The author has honor to contact with Mr.Cao Nianshen,the youngest son of Cao Zubin.Through the family oral,the author consult the personnel file,learned its complete life history,thus untangled the direction of where Cao zubin has gone,after being on loan to secondment Sichuan provincial library,part-time working in Chengdu Central Military Academy,going to Taiwan in 1947 and the establishment of the new China.It can be found that oral materials and personnel files of library scientists and their descendants play an important role in the study of library history in the republic of China.The library community should step up efforts to find the offspring of library scientist.And it is suggested that the archives community should be modest openning-up,magaged scientifically,to profit the acchives field.
