Epileptic status is a common complication in neuroses,which requires early identification and timely intervention.epileptic status,especially refractory epileptic status,can increase the chance of poor prognosis in patients.Continuous bedside EEG monitoring is an important means to diagnose and monitor epileptic status.The treatment of epileptic status aims at brain protection and adopts individualized treatment strategies.This article reviews the concept of epileptic status and reviews the progress in the diagnosis and treatment of such severe patients.
