1832 Parliamentary Reform was the turning point for England in the era of the modern democracy.During this time the political attitude of the Whig Party, who was in power and firmly led the reform, was the last brilliant exhibition of aristocratism. The Whig showed solicitude for the people’s suffering, regarded political arrangement far more important than other technical affairs such as commerce, finance and administration. Thus by a political style completely different from liberalism, they created political and social environment conducive to development of liberalism in England.Owning to the effort of the whiggish aristocrats, revolution was avoided in England, and the social development thereafter was peaceful and gradually. This kind of political attitude also made the English political and economical approach quite conservative and prudent.
