The contemporary visual culture has increasing influence on the values of the youth with the inherent spirit carried in it. In terms of their values, the young people have diversified notions, tend to make simple and empty judgements, and are inclined to make practical and material choices. On the other hand, with their values, the young are breeding and producing visual culture. The two-way interaction between visual culture and values of the youth implies that socialist core values must be strengthened in value education of the youth and in the construction of visual culture.
