Peng Yanjiao is a special,talented and outstanding poet in the Chinese modern and contemporary poetry.He was closely related with the modern western literature:from the passive influence to the active innovation,from his spontaneous reference to his conscious inheritance,the poet has gone a long way.To understand the poet,one must understand the western modern literature,which is key to understanding the relationship between the two.The poet,through his own diligent reading,under the influence of the"July School"poets,such as Lu Xun and the new poets,the poet has embraced the impact of western literature.He innovates to form his own unique Chinese style of"modernism of realism",ushering in his creative peak in the age of brilliant western modernism.Admittedly,the borrowing and innovation are rooted in different times and contexts in China,but what is commendable is that Peng Yanjiao upheld the road of creation for decades and spared no effort to carry on the inheritance and development.
