The Open Space Design in Urban Center Area for Urban Renaissance——A Case Study of Sundance Square in Fort Worth

在城市复兴的背景下,城市中心区的改造与再利用成为城市发展过程中遇到的一大挑战,如何通过有效的规划设计来提升城市中心区域的活力、效率与价值成为值得关注的问题。以美国沃斯堡市圣丹斯广场为例,对项目的建设发展历程,项目建成后在经济、环境、社区发展、文化认知等方面产生的积极意义进行详尽的介绍和客观评价。总结其设计思路和项目所产生的社会价值值得我国同类城市学习和借鉴之处,为我国同类型城市中心区建设提出建议。

In the context of urban renaissance,the transformation and reuse of urban centers have become a major challenge in the development of many cities.Taking the Sundance Square in Fort Worth,USA as an example,the paper describes the development of the project and objectively evaluates those positive significances in economic,environmental,cultural awareness and community development.The design ideas and social values of urban landscapes can be used for reference in China.
